Patient Participation Group

Just what is a ‘PPG’? – try it and see!

Would you like to glimpse behind the scenes and find out how your GP practice and even the NHS is organised?  Could you help to ensure your surgery works even better in meeting the needs of you, your family, other patients, doctors and staff?

All medical practices in the UK are encouraged (and in fact required by the NHS) to run Patient Participation Groups, known as PPGs.  The Devonshire Lodge PPG volunteers get together at the surgery, usually once every three months, to discuss the latest happenings in the practice and help find ways of encouraging smooth running and good communications between patients and staff. A member of the Practice staff usually attends to give feedback and support.

PPG members can contribute as little or as much as they wish, whether it is just attending meetings, giving their views, or taking a more active role.

Any patient over 18 is welcome to join.  No previous experience is needed.  You can find out more about the Devonshire Lodge PPG, or try out a meeting, just contact our Practice Manager, Ms Zin Htet at the practice on 020 8866 0075 or email nhsnwl.devonshirelodgepractice@nhs.net

If you have already decided to join our PPG please download and complete the application form.
